How your information is used

What stays private to you

Anything you type in Pause (what happened, your notes, your affirmations) is encrypted before it's stored. The Fresh Start team can't read it.

What the Fresh Start team can see

Your first name, username, email, and phone number if you gave it; whether you agreed to be contacted; when you signed up and were last active; and how much you've used Pause (for example, how many days you've used it and how many reactions you've logged). They do not see your ratings or anything you wrote.

If you ask for a call, the team sees the phone number, best time, and any note you add to that request, so they can reach you.

Contact from Fresh Start

We'll email you a welcome, password reset links when you ask, and a daily reminder with that day's practice (you can change or turn off reminders in Settings). If you checked the box to hear from Fresh Start, we may also send occasional support and program information. You can stop anytime by replying to any email or changing it in Settings.

Anonymous totals

Fresh Start looks at combined, anonymous numbers (like how many people keep using Pause after a week) to improve it. These never include anything you wrote.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, in Settings. It's removed immediately.

This is not therapy

Pause is a self-reflection tool. It isn't therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care. If you're in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
